Full-Time Senior Java Software Engineer

One of our clients operates prominently in the financial sector, enhancing operations across their network of 150,000 workstations and supporting 4,500 employees. IT solutions ensure streamlined processes and heightened security. This project redesigns and optimizes an existing authorization management application, enhancing functionality and modularity.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable Java-based backend applications and microservices focusing on performance and reliability.
• Implement Spring Boot applications following best practices (clean code, testing, optimization).
• Collaborate with DevOps to containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes; integrate CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Use Kafka for robust, asynchronous systems (scalability, decoupled services).
• Design and maintain efficient Oracle database integrations for data integrity and responsiveness.
• Contribute to strong engineering standards (architectural discussions, code reviews).
• Mentor junior developers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend Java development experience (Java 8 or above).
• Strong Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem proficiency.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful microservices.
• Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
• Working knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Proficiency in optimized SQL queries and database work.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, message-driven and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile.

Nice to Have

• Performance tuning and monitoring of Java applications in production.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace).
• Knowledge of security best practices in backend development.
• Cloud platform experience.
