Who You’ll Work WithArista Networks seeks top-tier Kubernetes-aware engineers to boost systems reliability and scalability for a team of over 1400 engineers.
What You’ll DoPart of the Engineering Productivity (EngProd) team, you'll collaborate with engineers to design, build, scale, and operate critical systems used by other development teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage aspects of production Kubernetes cluster (upgrades, monitoring, capacity planning, security, developer experience).
- Proactively monitor, respond to, and enhance alerts, automating where possible.
- Create and maintain incident response runbooks.
- Debug issues impacting developer experience and infrastructure stability.
- Implement best practices in Kubernetes cluster management.
- Collaborate with engineers to identify and fix bottlenecks in workflows, tooling, and infrastructure related to Kubernetes.
- Engage with vendor support.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years experience (or equivalent with advanced degrees)
- Kubernetes expertise (managing baremetal/on-prem clusters)
- Knowledge of Go, Python, JavaScript, and shell scripting
- Linux/UNIX proficiency
- Understanding of storage and networking
- Ansible and GitOps experience
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
