We are looking for a talented DevOps engineer with Kubernetes and public cloud experience to help us evolve and expand our product. The role involves the intersection of DevOps and QA engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy, test, and evaluate Mirantis k0rdent and other K8S-related products
- Research, develop, and implement CI/CD tooling to ensure product workability and performance
- Participate in designing and developing tools for deploying K8S environments
- Make recommendations based on test results for Mirantis development teams and the open source community
- Participate in requirement, design, planning, and retrospective meetings
- Participate in planning, estimation, and prioritization of product features
- Collaborate with a geographically distributed Agile team
- Help resolve customer issues
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding and experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- DevOps engineering experience, understanding of CI/CD core aspects
- 3+ years of practical experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) server platforms, OS debugging, performance tuning, and hardware troubleshooting
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Familiarity with code-review systems (Gerrit, GerritHub)
- Direct experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong communication skills, a "can-do" attitude, and focus on results
- Upper-intermediate spoken and written English
- Preferred Skills:
- Golang experience
- Kubernetes cluster management tooling (Rancher, Gardener, Tanzu)
- Open source development experience
- Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- OpenStack, VMware ecosystems knowledge
- High load systems experience
