Responsibilities
- Work with subject matter experts and product owners to determine questions and find answers.
- Work with subject matter experts to curate, generate, and annotate data, and create optimal datasets.
- Answer questions, make trainable datasets from raw data, and visualize when necessary, using SQL and scripting languages.
- Develop and tune Machine Learning models using best practices.
- Utilize, adopt, and fine-tune Language Models, including third-party LLMs.
- Stay current in the field and share findings.
- Optimize models for production usage.
- Communicate insights, model behavior, and limitations.
- Write clean, efficient, and modular code, with tests and documentation.
- Stay up to date with technology and explain choices to the organization.
Requirements
- Experience with text data to build Deep Learning and ML models.
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning theory.
- Software engineering background (8+ years). We use Python, SQL, Unix-based systems, git, and github.
- Machine/Deep Learning development skills. (AWS SageMaker, Hugging Face, transformers, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Jupyter)
- Understanding of Language Models.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Bonus points for experience with at-scale production coding, dev-ops skills, and front-end development.
