Full-Time Senior Manager, Engineering & Construction

Brightspeed is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Engineering & Construction Program Management team! As a Senior Project Manager, you will support PM teams, responsible for Armor/ECD, project management, right of way, fiber build, and the direct organization.

The role will be a critical part of the Engineering and Construction team, collaboratively managing complex, long-duration projects and PM tools.

This role includes C-Suite exposure. It demands strong business acumen, data analytics expertise, the ability to define and implement groundbreaking ideas, work within a fast-paced environment, and deliver support/services with broad business impact.

Responsibilities include:

1. Lead support and advisory role to the Senior Manager of Engineering & Construction, and lead cross-functional teams.
2. Oversee development and monitoring of tools, reports, and dashboards to boost productivity and efficiency.
3. Track milestone activities for complex projects/programs across internal and external lines of business.
4. Create, deploy, and maintain requirements using various organization tools (Smartsheet, Excel, and adapt to other software).
5. Cross-integrate systems to gather data for analytics and real-time support to the program management team.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
7. Ensure projects meet network readiness dates within budget allotments.
8. Create presentations to support leadership and C-Suite teams.
9. Provide direct support to the VP and their teams.
10. Collaborate with network and business domain leadership to design/implement future state processes that achieve program goals and end-to-end process engineering objectives.
11. Communicate training materials, flash documents, M&Ps, and related job aids to stakeholders and their teams.

Required skills:

• 10+ years of telecommunication experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to facilitate project creation and management in standard PM tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, Jira, etc.)
• Experience with Telcom Network Design systems (IQGeo, GIS, SmallWorld)
• Usability & understanding of data visualization tools (PowerBI, Power Apps)
• Vendor & Contract Administration
• Ability to create complex Methods & Procedures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft (specifically PowerPoint & Excel), Adobe, and related systems
• Ability to analyze data for strategic business decisions
• Ability to build cohesive relationships with multiple departments through training, development, and accountability

Bonus Skills:

• Master’s degree and/or related work experience
• Knowledge of SAP, Fireworks, BidMaster, LeaseNet, Costar, JDS, WFMT, NDS, CLM, APO, FT3, ARMOR, MARTENS
• Experience with Regulatory subsidy compliance
