Full-Time Senior Medical Information Specialist

Senior Medical Information Specialist is an individual contributor role responsible for providing expert, accurate, and timely scientific and medical information to internal and external stakeholders.

Requires to cover east/central time zone (8 am EST – 5 pm ET / 5 am – 2 pm PST)

1. Provide high-quality, scientifically accurate, and evidence-based responses to medical inquiries.
2. Manage and respond to incoming inquiries regarding drug products, clinical data, and therapeutic areas.
3. Address both routine and complex medical information requests via phone, email, or other channels.
4. Interpret and communicate clinical study results, product labeling, and treatment guidelines.
5. Ensure all inquiries and responses are documented and tracked.
6. Maintain and update standard response documents (SRDs), FAQs, and other resources.
7. Contribute to the creation and review of medical information materials.
8. Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, Pharmacovigilance, and Marketing teams.
9. Work closely with clinical development teams to review and interpret clinical trial data.
10. Provide scientific and medical support for key therapeutic area initiatives.
11. Continuously update personal knowledge of industry trends.
12. Monitor and analyze competitor products, therapies, and research.
13. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of company products.
14. Ensure all medical information responses are compliant with regulatory standards.
15. Stay informed of evolving regulatory guidelines.
16. Collaborate with regulatory affairs and legal departments.
17. Provide training and support to other departments.
18. Contribute to internal and external educational programs.

Experience: Typically requires a university degree and 5 years of related experience or 3 years with a Master’s degree, or a PhD.

Skills: Experience in medical information, clinical research, or a related field within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutic areas, and clinical data interpretation. Familiarity with medical information management systems and databases. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Salary: $107,100 to $144,500 (USD)
