Full-Time Senior Medical Writer

Senior Medical Writer Responsibilities:

• Writes original content for publications, materials for healthcare professionals (HCP) and internal clients.
• Demonstrates expertise in assigned therapeutic areas and products.
• Analyzes, interprets, and applies clinical data for scientific communications.
• Adheres to internal processes, procedures, industry best practices and guidelines (e.g., GPP3).
• Demonstrates flexibility/adaptability for different therapeutic teams.
• Interprets and applies clinical data effectively.
• Maintains a proactive approach for existing and prospective clients.
• Manages workload and develops attainable timelines with team members.
• Provides input and participates in team meetings for problem-solving.
• Collates and incorporates author/client comments efficiently and accurately.
• Participates in author/client teleconferences and answers content-related questions (may lead teleconferences).
• Reviews/revises medical writer/freelancer work (as needed).
• Participates in brainstorming, strategic planning, and publication planning meetings.
• Attends advisory boards, roundtables, and records/synthesizes meeting into reports.
• Assists in new business presentation development by researching and analyzing data.
• Attends and participates in new business presentations, as appropriate.
• Fosters collaboration with internal/external stakeholders to ensure quality work within timelines.
• Maintains a professional manner and positive team culture.
• Works collaboratively to meet company goals and objectives, and adheres to corporate values.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing with internal/external stakeholders.
• Keeps management apprised of key departmental concerns.

Requirements:

• PhD, PharmD, or MD
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical communications
• Substantial experience in various communication formats
• Ability to work independently on projects
• Ability to travel as needed
• Ability to attend/conduct presentations
