Full-Time Senior ML Engineer / Software Engineer

At Scalable Capital, we're hiring an ML Engineer for our Data Science team, focusing on applied generative AI.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, implement, and maintain Gen AI/ML technologies for internal and future client services using software engineering best practices.
• Drive development of scalable ML/Gen AI architectures for deployment and maintenance.
• Contribute to infrastructure components, CI/CD pipelines, and maintenance of ML services on AWS.
• Evaluate retrieval techniques, language models, and generative AI methodologies with a focus on practical solutions.
• Implement automated testing and monitoring for AI system accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful AI system integration.
• Stay updated on industry trends for innovative solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field (Computer Science, AI, Data Science, etc.).
• Generalist mindset, willingness to learn and switch between technical domains (Backend, Frontend, AI/ML Infrastructure).
• Extensive experience in AI/ML technologies and Python software development.
• Experience with dockerization, cloud platforms (AWS), AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), version control.
• Expertise in agentic workflow orchestration frameworks (Langgraph, LlamaIndex).
• Strong understanding of chains, routing, agents, RAG, and vector databases.
• Experience with FastAPI for API building.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, model lifecycle, and deployment.
• Interest in financial services/markets is a plus.
• Experience with frontends (e.g., Next.js) is a plus.
• Strong project management, problem-solving skills, and a hands-on mentality.
