Contractor SENIOR PAYROLL ANALYST

Responsibilities:

• Develop full understanding of payroll cycles, inputs, outputs, and post-payroll activities.
• Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, analyzing, and entering data using UKGPro.
• Wage Verifications
• Reporting and remitting payroll deductions.
• Maintain payroll operations following policies and procedures.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely processing of information.
• Collaborate with payroll colleagues and other business areas (HR, Benefits, Compensation, Finance, Technology).
• Year-End W-2 processing.
• Balance sheet account reconciliation support.
• Provide analysis and reporting as required.
• Provide customer service by responding to employee questions and requests.
• Monitor Payroll Inquiries mailbox (external) and ServiceNow queue (internal).

Must Haves:

• Large company payroll experience
• Large Payroll software experience (Ultipro/UKG, ADP, etc.)
• Self-Starter
• Analytical thinker
• Strong overall payroll knowledge (gross to net, taxation)
• Excel skills (vlookup, sumif, pivot tables)
• W-2 preparation/validation
• Multi-state/local tax jurisdiction experience
• General ledger background

Must NOT Haves:

• Job hopper (every 2-4 months)
• Limited payroll processing (only data collection)
• Inconsistent job history

Skills/Qualifications:

• 3+ years payroll experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred)
• UKG/Ultipro experience (a plus)
• Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
• Clear and effective communication
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to solve issues
• Detail-oriented, organized, focused on accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Team player
• Multi-state and Canadian payroll compliance experience (a plus)
• State and local tax registration and reconciliation experience (a plus)
