We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Payroll Manager on a six month full-time REMOTE contract. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of payroll processing for multi-jurisdictional entities, including experience in both USA and Canadian markets. In addition, proficiency with Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) software is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.

Maintain expertise in payroll processing for USA and Canada jurisdictions, staying up-to-date on regulatory changes and compliance requirements.

Develop and implement payroll processes and procedures, maintaining documentation as needed.

Oversee payroll data entry, calculations, deductions, and reconciliations for multiple entities and countries.

Manage payroll tax filings, payments, and audits, collaborating with external accounting and legal advisors when necessary.

Train and mentor junior team members on UKG software and payroll best practices.

Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll into the overall human resources function.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

At least 7 years of experience as a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Specialist, preferably with multi-jurisdictional exposure (USA and Canada)

In-depth knowledge of UKG software and its functionalities for payroll processing and reporting

Extensive understanding of payroll tax compliance in both the USA and Canadian markets

Proven ability to manage complex payroll operations and ensure accuracy and timeliness in payment to employees

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
