Role Overview
The Senior Platform Engineer will design and maintain cloud infrastructure (primarily in Azure), manage DevOps pipelines, ensure system reliability, and oversee release management. This role requires expertise in PaaS-based cloud infrastructure, security, automation, and CI/CD pipelines, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to production environments. You'll play a key role in shaping Skedda's scalable, high-quality platform.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (Azure, PaaS).
- Implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) with Bicep.
- Managing build, test, and deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Incident response, triage, and management.
- Capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Creating and maintaining release schedules.
- Identifying and mitigating release risks.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, and/or SRE.
- Strong experience with PaaS-based cloud infrastructure in Azure.
- Strong understanding of cloud-security concepts.
- Strong scripting skills on the Azure platform (e.g., Azure CLI).
- Experience with Bicep for Azure.
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (YAML).
- Experience with production deployment changes and releases.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
