OverviewExperian's Innovation Lab is an R&D unit collaborating with departments to develop solutions, acquire data, and enhance client relationships.
What You'll DoAs a Senior Principal Data Scientist, help frame the Lab's R&D roadmap, lead research and development of analytical solutions, prototype new products, and evaluate data assets. Bring experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, and deep learning, and coach junior Data Scientists and Data Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Understand market trends and client pain points to lead the Lab's R&D roadmap (3-5 years) addressing industry needs.
- Follow AI/ML technologies and guide R&D to apply them to client challenges.
- Lead development of impactful analytical solutions (ROI) in identity management, fraud detection, risk management, and marketing optimization.
- Solve complex challenges by developing impactful algorithms.
- Craft advanced ML solutions to extract insights from diverse data.
- Lead efforts to improve data management, processing, knowledge discovery, and modeling.
- Coach junior team members.
- Unearth data value by applying machine learning, deep learning, and processing techniques.
- Improve data manipulation and retrieval through efficient data structures/solutions.
- Innovate with tools for data processing and information retrieval.
- Dissect and document vast datasets to highlight patterns and insights.
- Ensure model excellence by validating performance and analyzing ROI/benefits.
- Articulate model processes and outcomes, documenting and presenting findings/metrics.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Data Science, AI, Computer Science, or related field.
- More than 10 years' experience in AI, data science, and predictive modeling.
- Track record in leading impactful analytical solutions (ROI) for fraud detection, risk management, or marketing optimization.
- Experienced in leading sizable teams to develop AI-driven analytical solutions.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, C++, C).
- Experience developing analytical solutions using deep learning (CNN, RNN, LSTM, attention models), machine learning methodologies (SVM, GLM, boosting, random forest, etc.), graph models, and reinforcement learning.
- Experience with open-source tools (PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, pandas).
- Experience with large data analysis using Spark (PySpark preferred).
- Experience with LLMs and Generative AI tools.
- Experience developing advanced language models.
- Experience developing and applying Generative AI technology.
- Experience with Hadoop and NoSQL technologies (MapReduce, Hive, HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience with GPU programming.
