Sr. Project Manager is a high-visibility, high-impact role leading and managing large-scale Logistic Systems projects for the BEUMER Group in North America. Requires strong people and project management skills, sound business judgment, and a proven track record on medium to large-scale projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute project strategy to meet performance, schedule, and profitability targets.
- Maintain customer focus, building positive relationships, understanding needs, and developing solutions for mutual success.
- Collaborate with PM, SW PM, and Sub-PMs on customer contract fulfillment and commercial requirements.
- Lead project execution locally and with supporting Group Companies as Global PM.
- Manage multi-disciplined project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules and cost plans.
- Manage key project management processes (Scope, Supply Chain, Change, Risk, Claim Management).
- Coordinate and develop scope and price for change orders, negotiating acceptance with the customer.
- Act as a proactive leader/problem solver addressing complex issues.
- Solve technical issues and manage/direct multi-discipline design teams.
- Support Procurement in creating and reviewing detailed technical specifications.
- Manage project risks, mitigating threats and capitalizing on opportunities.
- Manage and enhance relationships with Customers, Consultants, Suppliers, and Trades.
- Track progress, variances, recovery, and identify trends to mitigate cost overruns.
- Ensure project health, safety, and environmental standards meet or exceed requirements.
- Direct involvement in specification approval, design, production, installation, and commissioning.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and final testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar; PMP certification.
- 10+ years progressive Project Management experience; 5-10 years managing projects exceeding $30,000,000.
- Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build project delivery methods.
- Ability to travel to job sites (35% on average).
- Strong skills in planning, budgeting, estimating, contract management, project administration, and decision-making.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrable leadership abilities.
- Ability to work closely with team members and decision-makers.
- Process-oriented and able to implement project management processes.
- Strong, independent decision-making ability, self-starter, and strong work ethic.
- High degree of personal integrity and mentoring capabilities.
- Direct industry experience (Logistic Systems).
Compensation: $129,000 - $139,000 annually.
