Full-Time Senior Refrigeration Engineer

Key Role: Providing consulting engineering services for commercial refrigeration installations. Covers all phases from inception to close-out, including design, documentation, procurement, construction, site monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proficient in heat load calculations.
• Strong understanding of South African National Standards (SANS), British Standards, ASHRAE, etc.
• Design based on client requirements.
• Proficient in modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, etc.)
• Competent in all project stages, tender documentation and management.
• Formulation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ's).
• Specialist equipment specifications understanding and approvals.
• Quality control (QA/QC), site supervision and construction monitoring.
• Troubleshooting of existing installations.
• Cost control (HVAC & Refrigeration).
• Project scoping and scope monitoring.
• Contractor and contract management (Refrigeration & HVAC).

• Role model SHEQ standards.
• Contribute to SHEQ risk identification.
• Promote safe work environment.

Key Competencies:

• Computer literacy (MS Office).
• Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360).

• Code B driver's license.
• Willingness to travel.
• B Eng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
• ECSA professional registration, Category C SARACCA registration.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years as a consulting engineer (commercial refrigeration).
