Contractor Senior Roblox Developer

Sawhorse Productions is seeking experienced Full Stack Roblox Developers to create high-fidelity, interactive experiences. You'll collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to develop immersive and scalable gameplay.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-quality gameplay experiences.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable Luau code.
• Translate creative vision into interactive, engaging gameplay.
• Lead development cycles from concept to execution.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to ensure technical execution aligns with project goals and branding.
• Work cross-functionally with designers and engineers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize features for performance.
• Implement and optimize game systems (character controllers, AI, dynamic mechanics).
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility (PC, mobile, console).
• Utilize the latest Roblox technologies (StreamingEnabled, MemoryStoreService, etc.).

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of Roblox development experience, with at least 2+ years of Luau programming.
• Expertise with Roblox Studio, scripting, API, OOP, CFrame manipulation, UI/UX scripting, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of backend services (Roblox's datastore, MemoryStoreService).
• Proficiency in GitHub and Rojo.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with open-source tools (Nevermore, Maids, etc.).
• Game UX/UI expertise.
• Roblox plugin development.
• Advanced mathematics & physics programming.
• Custom Avatar Rigging & Character Controllers.
• Interest in Web Development.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $40-$60/hr.
