Senior Ruby Developer
As a senior engineer in the Talent Management product development team, you will write clean and performant APIs in Ruby on Rails. Focus on performance, optimizing complex flows. Work with a product manager and write unit & integration tests to complement existing tests.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails applications at scale
- 3+ years of experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Knowledge and experience of writing performant web applications and RESTful APIs
- Previous experience on complex B2B applications at moderate scale, with multiple user flows and roles
- Knowledge on how to debug slow running code, interpret and reduce the cost of SQL queries, optimize API endpoints and payloads for Ember.js SPA requests
- Experience with cloud technology (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience with git or Azure DevOps
- Solid understanding of Agile development lifecycle and software testing practices
- Good English skills
- Enthusiastic about teaching and learning
- Self-starter, driven, and passionate about quality while avoiding burnout
Stack: Rails, RSpec, Capybara, Redis, Postgres, Sidekiq (backend), Ember.js (frontend). May introduce Elasticsearch & GraphQL in the future.
