Job Details
You will be responsible for investigating construction-related issues on a wide array of construction projects in the public and private sector and providing support and recommendations as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Minimum 5 years of field experience in vertical, civil, transportation, and/or industrial construction, or an advanced degree. Demonstrated experience in construction scheduling, developing and maintaining project schedules using industry-standard tools and methodologies. Strong understanding of plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and other construction documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with clients and project representatives
- Perform project assessments and site visits
- Project evaluation and assistance with schedule preparation, maintenance, and time impact analysis
- Serve as liaison for clients with owners, contractors, and other professionals
- Participate in meetings with project owners, contractors, and other professionals
- Provide requested work product and communication with clients and team
- Review change orders, contracts, and other construction documents
- Maintain required file work, quality standards, project documentation, and deliverables
- Represent JS Held and clients professionally
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of field experience in public or private construction
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Strong understanding of administrative and construction processes of commercial construction projects
- Excellent writing skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Cost estimating experience
- Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction management and/or civil engineering related degrees, credentials, or certifications
- PSP, EIT, PMP, and other relevant certifications
Other Essential Requirements:
- Willingness to travel locally or out-of-state
- Ability to work on construction sites
