Full-Time Senior Scientist, Applied Bioinformatics

As a Scientist, Applied Bioinformatics, you'll be at the center of innovation, building and maintaining a superior Customer Experience. We seek a multi-talented individual to join our 10x Applied Bioinformatics team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a customer-facing expert on 10x Genomics software and bioinformatics products, providing timely resolutions to issues.
• Manage issue escalation processes.
• Conduct peer-level consultations with scientists and bioinformaticians.
• Collaborate with in-house R&D scientists, computational biologists, and software engineers for timely resolution.
• Act as the "Voice of the Customer," distilling and representing customer feedback to internal teams.
• Develop and maintain user-friendly software training materials.
• Stay current on new tools, algorithms, and analysis strategies for 10x Genomics data.
• Engage in bioinformatics outreach through virtual and in-person participation in industry events.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years of Bioinformatics experience
• PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting bioinformatics software and pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postdoctoral training
• Hands-on experience with 10x Genomics data analysis
• Experience with Bioinformatics consultations
• Skills in UNIX/Linux environments and scripting/programming.
• Experience deploying software on AWS and Google Compute Engine
• Familiarity with NGS technologies and HPC troubleshooting.
