Role Summary: Develop mathematical models for personalized medicine, working closely with experimentalists. Apply computational techniques, including simulations, to study physical phenomena. Analyze and interpret experimental data. Stay current with advancements in physics, modeling, and spectroscopy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine mathematical models for complex physical systems targeting personalized medicine.
- Collaborate with experimental teams to translate theoretical predictions into testable hypotheses.
- Apply analytical and computational techniques (simulations, numerical modeling) to study physical phenomena.
- Utilize statistical physics, quantum mechanics, and applied mathematics for data insights.
- Assist in analyzing and interpreting experimental data, ensuring theoretical expectations align with practical feasibility.
- Keep abreast of advancements in physics, computational modeling, and spectroscopy for clinical applications.
- Communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.
- Contribute to research publications, patents, and conference presentations.
Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in theoretical and computational physics, applied mathematics, with demonstrated application to real-world experiments.
- Experience working at the interface of theory and experiment, collaborating with experimentalists, and interdisciplinary scientists.
- Proficiency in numerical modeling, simulations, data analysis using Python, Julia, or similar tools.
- Ability to develop and implement physical models, differential equations, and computational frameworks.
- Experience with data-driven approaches, signal processing, or machine learning (a plus).
- Curiosity and problem-solving skills in interdisciplinary challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, translating complex concepts to non-specialists.
- Proven track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals or major scientific conferences.
- PhD or MSc in relevant fields (Physics, Applied Mathematics, etc.). Exceptional candidates with a Master's and extensive research experience will also be considered.
- +3 years experience in academia or industry with modeling and simulations involving experimental applications.
- Experience developing theories/models tested in experimental setups.
- Experience collaborating with experimental physicists, engineers, or applied scientists is a plus.
