THE POSITION: The Senior ServiceNow Developer is the technology subject-matter expert responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of software development projects within ServiceNow ITSM and CSM. Works on multiple projects and development efforts and provides technical and architectural guidance on complex initiatives. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and efficient solutions, ensuring adherence to technical standards and best practices. Requires at least 7 - 10 years of hands-on ServiceNow programming experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and robust software solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Design, create, and maintain process/workflow and operational reports and dashboards using Platform and Performance Analytics, Process Mining, KPIs, and Control Metrics.
- Configure ServiceNow functions to meet operational needs.
- Develop Interactive Dashboards, Widgets, and Workspaces.
- Create and configure integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications (e.g., MS Teams).
- Code solutions, unit test, and deliver requirements/stories per acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Research, analyze, design, develop, and support high-quality automation workflows inside and outside the ITSM platform.
- Utilize multiple architectural components (data, application, business) in design and development.
- Perform proof of concept as necessary.
- Contribute to test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze reports, identify issues, and triage causes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Licenses/Certificates: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ITIL Foundations certified
- Experience/Training: Expert knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM applications with 5+ years hands-on experience, 3+ years technical leadership. 8+ years experience as a ServiceNow Developer, 5+ years CSM module experience.
- Expertise: ServiceNow development, JavaScript, Angular JS or React JS, Flow Designer, Agile methodologies (e.g., JIRA, Confluence), software design patterns, architecture, and principles.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, technical writing, independent and collaborative work in fast-paced environments, problem-solving, analytical skills, detail orientation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- Other Skills: Experience with complex projects, full-stack development, API development (SOAP or REST), ongoing learning and improvement, staying updated with industry trends.
- Specific skills: Expertise in ServiceNow integrations using table APIs, scripted web services, custom REST APIs, Integration Hub spokes
