We're looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to optimize and scale our identity verification platform. In this role, you'll develop tools and automations to maintain system health and increase developer productivity. Working closely with product leads, you'll plan capacity for new customers and features. Your work will support millions of verifications while upholding the highest security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with developers collaboratively to design, implement, and optimize k-ID’s software systems
- Lead technical architecture decisions and establish best practices for k-ID’s developer platform, including cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and version control
- Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive user data
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in backend development or systems engineering
- Experience in Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD tooling and at least one backend language (Python/TypeScript/Go)
- Track record of investigating and resolving critical system problems
- Experience driving security, privacy, and data protection improvements (GDPR, ISO27001, SOC2, PCI)
- Deep understanding of container management, networking, and security on AWS (EKS/ECS, EC2, IAM, Docker & Kubernetes)
- Experience influencing on-call, incident management, and capacity planning practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert understanding of distributed systems and APIs
- Experience in configuring and tuning database systems, especially PostgreSQL
- Experience with business analytics, data pipelines and identity verification or fintech products
