Full-Time Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Site Reliability Engineer role at Octopus Deploy, a global Continuous Delivery company. Impact developer experience by enabling scalable application delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Keep Build systems running reliably.
• Improve and iterate existing reliability practices.
• Introduce new ideas/practices for improved reliability and reduced toil.
• Spearhead implementation of new capabilities.
• Share SRE expertise across the company.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong alignment with Octopus Deploy's remote-first & transparent work culture.
• Experience in Systems Engineering, with specialization a plus.
• Proficient in leading postmortems and designing deployment/monitoring pipelines.
• Passion for automating builds, tests, deployments, infrastructure, and operations.
• Commitment to quality and system availability within a humane on-call program.
• Collaborative & results-oriented; adept at solving complex problems.
• Thrives on feedback, and helps fellow engineers.

Typical Day:

• Develop new reliability capabilities.
• Support internal teams with build, testing, and packaging.
• Collaborate with engineers via Zoom to solve issues.
• Respond to and resolve platform alerts.
• Improve documentation.
• Share knowledge through blog posts or presentations.
• Proactively reduce future toil via automation.

Compensation:

• Level 2 SRE: $115k-$135k AUD / $125k-$145k NZD
• Level 3 Senior SRE: $145k-$165k AUD / $155k-$175k NZD (Excludes Super and Kiwi Saver)
