Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum (DEO)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid: Minimum of 2 days in the office per week
About the Role: An exciting opportunity to join a leading financial software provider as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of Cloud Infrastructure Services. Provide technical contributions and support team member development within the Cloud Operations Team. This is a hands-on technical role.
Responsibilities:
- Work within production and non-production environments.
- Provide expert technical knowledge and leadership.
- Resolve escalated incidents in line with customer SLAs.
- Troubleshoot from first principles.
- Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
- Develop, deploy, and maintain solutions using best practices and architectural designs.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain tools, scripts, and dashboards to monitor system health and performance.
- Handle on-call support issues.
- Mentor and develop team members.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Senior SRE or Senior Cloud Engineering role.
- Expert knowledge and experience in configuration and troubleshooting.
- Expert knowledge/certification in AWS Administration.
- Expert knowledge and experience with: Terraform, Ansible, Python, Lambda functions, Oracle PLSQL, Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn).
- Ability to manage workload and provide accurate estimates.
- Meticulous attention to detail and desire to deliver best-in-class service.
- Proactive and positive attitude towards new solutions.
- Continuous learning and knowledge development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work on-call.
