Plasma is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our protocol.
What You Will Do
- Architect, implement, and maintain infrastructure to support large-scale Rust-based services and consensus components.
- Develop tooling and automated processes for monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Drive continuous improvements in reliability and performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with developers to guide architectural decisions, ensuring system design meets reliability and scalability goals.
- Own end-to-end availability for critical services and features.
- Design and implement robust deployment strategies, including CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and infrastructure as code.
- Troubleshoot production issues at all layers of the stack.
- Champion a DevOps culture across the team.
Who You Are
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in SRE, DevOps, or a related role.
- A solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Proficient in cloud-native tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar) and modern observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Bias for action in a low-process environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A high degree of ownership.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on consensus algorithms, blockchain protocols, or other high-resilience distributed systems.
- Deep familiarity with stablecoins, DeFi, or specific blockchain ecosystems.
- Previous experience with performance tuning and optimization in mission-critical environments.
- Contributions to open-source DevOps or SRE tooling.
