Full-Time Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Facet, you will work with our Engineering & Product teams, playing a critical role in developing world-class commercial software. Our goal is to improve the financial lives of millions.

Requirements:

• Excited about learning new skills and working in a startup environment.
• 4-8 years of full-stack web development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Go/Golang and/or React.
• 16+ Relational databases experience, MySQL preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Golang and React.
• AWS experience (ECS, EC2, RDS, S3).
• REST architectural style experience.
• Clean Architecture experience.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket.
• Frontend toolchains (Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt).
• Frontend testing tools (Mocha/Chai, BrowserStack, Puppeteer).
• Automated testing experience (unit, integration, regression, performance).
• Responsive design and PWAs experience.
• Linux familiarity.
• Docker familiarity.
• FinTech API experience (Plaid, Finicity, Yodlee, APEX, Orion).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product and Planners to define solutions.
• Design, develop, and test code in Golang and React, deployed to AWS.
• Estimate tickets in a ScrumBan process.
• Commit code constantly to Git/Bitbucket.
• Write all tests.
• Pair program with other developers (as desired).
• Participate in daily standups, weekly Tech Stack Tuesdays, bi-weekly Fast Fridays, and quarterly 3-day hackathons.
