Full-Time Senior Software Engineer

Greenlight is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer for our Web Core team.

This team focuses on core web initiatives, bringing Greenlight functionality to the web for the first time, and acting as a horizontal support team for other web teams. Responsibilities include setting standards, defining best practices, building common libraries, and mentoring other developers.

Contributions to backend services are also expected as needed.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Product development: Building new experiences for the Greenlight website, collaborating with domain teams, product managers, and designers.
• Platform Support: Providing mentorship and support to web teams, defining standards and best practices, and determining technologies.
• Teamwork: Working in a strong team to deliver web products.
• Feature Enhancement: Collaborating with product and design teams to add incremental features while managing tech debt.
• Backend Scaling: Scaling and maintaining backend services to support growing users.
• Platform Reliability: Improving platform reliability and availability.

Skills and Experience:

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years software development experience
• Ability to context switch in fast-paced environments
• Focus on performance, scalability, and observability
• Single-page application development experience with modern frameworks
• REST API development experience
• Node.js backend service development experience
• Understanding of build/measure/learn process and lean startup principles
• A/B testing and experimentation experience (preferred)
• Experience with modern MarTech tools (preferred)
