About the Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack at Headspace:Headspace seeks a talented Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack to join the Web Acquisition Team, responsible for building web experiences, expanding access, and monetizing audiences via D2C and SMB channels.
You'll prototype, architect, and execute the creation of our enterprise platform, playing a key role in its continued growth.
Open to both full-stack or back-end focused candidates.
You'll work on a product impacting over 65M users, bringing new features to life and pushing the platform to cutting-edge technologies.
What you will do:
- Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
- Write well-designed, testable, performant, and efficient code.
- Contribute to all phases of development, from collaborating with product stakeholders to writing tech specs & RFCs, feature release, and operations.
- Build web apps and APIs primarily on Typescript/Node.js for AWS-based services.
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
- Work with product and engineering teams to release high-scale services.
What you will bring:
Required Skills:
- At least 3-4 years of hands-on software development experience, building APIs, (micro)services, and (micro)sites.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while comfortably collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features in a remote environment.
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, as well as using CI/CD systems.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated ability to make tough technical decisions based on requirements, constraints, and trade-offs.
Preferred Skills:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, with 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with Node.JS and Typescript.
- Strong understanding of database management, object-oriented programming, and web application development.
Pay & Benefits:
Salary range: $122,400-$195,500 + equity + benefits.
Individual compensation depends on location and experience.
