Full-Time Senior Software Engineer

Position Summary As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, you'll build web services and APIs primarily with Go and MongoDB. Part of the UI Services Team, you'll design, develop, and maintain Masonry, League's server-driven UI platform. Work in a small cross-functional team to deliver roadmap features, maintain, and improve a specific area of our product. You'll handle large projects, establish best practices, and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain backend services and data storage.
• Debug production issues with services and data.
• Participate in technical design and planning discussions.
• Uphold quality standards through code reviews, bug fixes, automated tests, and performance monitoring.
• Adhere to system operation policies (Access Control, Encryption Control, Logging, Change Management, Platform Security, System Configuration, Physical and Incident Management).
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.

About You

• Experience with server-side programming languages.
• Knowledge of modern web services architectures.
• Experience building and maintaining automated test suites.
• Write clean, correct code following best practices.
• Understand how your work fits into team and company objectives.
• Prioritize tasks effectively.
• Clearly communicate assumptions and get clarification.
• Solicit and provide timely feedback.

Compensation

$113,500 - $170,300 CAD (Canada only, excludes bonus, equity, and benefits)
