Job Details
Fandango is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive the development of high-impact systems and services. As a senior member, you’ll design, develop, and scale web applications. Collaborate across disciplines, mentor teammates, and shape the technical direction of critical features.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications
- Develop internal and public APIs
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using modern JavaScript (Node.js)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews
- Troubleshoot complex issues and implement solutions
- Mentor junior developers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies
- Contribute to DevOps processes: CI/CD, monitoring
Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
- Proficient in JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with microservice architecture
- Proficient with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing large-scale web applications
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React
- Experience with TDD or BDD
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of PCI compliance
- Familiarity with using AI tools
