Full-Time Senior Software Engineer

Serotonin is a leading marketing and communications partner for digital asset companies. We work with top businesses and entrepreneurs in the industry on brand positioning, media relations, content, growth marketing, and go-to-market strategy.

We're seeking a talented Senior Engineer to join our new product studio team for a new product development.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select suitable technologies, tools, and frameworks for new product development.
• Design product architectures balancing flexibility and speed.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate ideas into engineering tasks.
• Implement, test, and maintain high-quality code for robust, scalable, and maintainable software.
• Help grow the engineering team through hiring, performance management, technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in blockchain and cryptocurrency.
• Drive the integration of smart contract technologies and contribute to smart contract best practices.
• Continuously improve the development process, identifying efficiency and effectiveness opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on prototyping and new product development.
• Independent, opinionated, ownership-focused, and thrives in high-velocity environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in a modern programming language (e.g., Javascript, Python, Go, Solidity).
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable and maintainable software architectures.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make progress independently.
• Experience with various software development processes and understanding of their strengths/weaknesses.
• Passion for emerging blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Familiarity with smart contract development and people management is a plus.
