Our Zeebs are passionate about learning, growing, & working together to tackle exciting problems.We're seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with strong frontend experience to join our Top Gun squad.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and services within The Zebra.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver new features.
- Develop clean, reusable, testable code across backend and frontend codebases.
- Drive technical design and architecture discussions.
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to other engineers.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve the codebase and processes.
- Contribute to planning and prioritization, helping the team deliver predictably and effectively.
- Act as a technical leader for the team and grow other engineers through example and mentorship.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Expertise in both backend and frontend development. Preferred more Frontend for this role.
- Strong proficiency in technologies such as:
- Frontend: Javascript, React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS
- Backend: Python, Ruby, Java, or similar
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, GCP, Docker, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
- Experience designing APIs and integrating with external systems.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices, performance optimization, and testing frameworks.
- Ability to lead projects from ideation through execution with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
