Full-Time Senior Software Engineer, Distributed Storage

Mysten Labs is creating foundational infrastructure for decentralized protocols. Join the Walrus Core team to build a decentralized storage network.

What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain Walrus core (storage node, client software, smart contracts, toolchains).
• Collaborate with research, cryptography, production, security, and Sui core teams to ensure security, performance, and reliability.
• Optimize systems for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with other teams for new feature integration.

What You'll Have:

• 5+ years of experience in systems/network programming (ideally Rust, C, or C++).
• Experience designing/developing systems in distributed systems, consensus protocols, storage/databases, high-performance systems, or networking protocols.
• Production experience: operating/managing production systems, system monitoring, and alerting, with a focus on reliability.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to drive complex projects to completion.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Rust.
• Blockchain technology or cryptographic protocol experience.
• Significant contributions to open source projects.
• Research experience in relevant computer science topics.
