Contractor Senior Software Engineer - Golang

Our Customer is a leading global company specializing in digital automation and energy management, committed to driving digital transformation by integrating world-leading process and energy technologies. Their mission is to be true digital partner for Sustainability and Efficiency.

Join our dynamic team to develop a cutting-edge resource controller based on Kubernetes operator architecture. This controller will utilize Kubernetes policies and resource definitions, and is being developed using Go programming language. The project also involves defining policies with YAML and Python (Starlark). Our target devices manage containers using Docker and Docker Compose.

1. Design, develop, and maintain a resource controller using Kubernetes operator patterns.
2. Implement Kubernetes policies and custom resource definitions (CRDs).
3. Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code in Go (Golang).
4. Define and manage policies using YAML and Python (Starlark).
5. Utilize Docker and Docker Compose for container management on target devices.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes deployments and operations.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in:

• Kubernetes: installation, policy management; operators experience is a plus.
• YAML and Helm for configuration management.
• Docker: creating Dockerfiles and using Docker Compose.
• Python, preferably with experience in Starlark.
• Go (Golang) programming language.
• Protobuf and gRPC for service communication.
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration concepts.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
