Full-Time Senior Software Engineer - Home Care

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to update and maintain our internal core services, utilizing a modern technology stack.

This role involves developing products and infrastructure within an engineering team, reporting to the Manager of Engineering - Home Care.

Key responsibilities include improving and maintaining our Lead Platform infrastructure and Web Portals, owning components of the code base, and leveraging modern technologies and design patterns.

The role involves direct development, testing, and coordination with the entire Home Care engineering team.

A hands-on, outcome-oriented, technology-focused engineer with experience and passion for designing, building, and supporting modern backend technologies. You should demonstrate strong partnership skills with product teams and other engineering teams, ensuring alignment between technological innovation and product development goals.

What you will do:

1. Develop mission-critical projects and deliver platform capabilities end-to-end with high quality.
2. Collaboratively design and build cloud-native and service-oriented backend components and applications.
3. Collaborate with team and peers to design complex applications, peer review code, and suggest optimization.
4. Enable continuous deployment by championing quality engineering practices (e.g., linting, unit testing, e2e testing, pipeline automation).
5. Collaborate with and influence product teams to build and maintain design system standards, processes, and adoption.
6. Create reference material and help define engineering best practices as needed.
7. Investigate and resolve production issues from end-user to service layer, working to prevent future occurrences.
8. Passionately understand the user experience and create a beautiful web journey.
9. Build and grow engineering skills in challenging areas and solve complex technical problems.

Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of engineering experience
• Expert with TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js
• Familiar with .NET (from legacy Framework to Core)
• Familiar with common open-source distributed middleware and components (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, MQ)
• Thrives in fast-paced environments, building dependable, high-quality solutions that scale effectively
• In-depth knowledge of backend technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Role model and champion modern ways-of-working (Agile, DevOps).
• Actively participate in an engineering community.
• Take ownership of keeping technical documentation for features up-to-date.
• Demonstrate competent problem-solving skills (debugging, analysis, instrumentation).
