Full-Time Senior Software Engineer (Python, API, Serverless)

NBCUniversal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of innovative systems for the Content Sales division. You'll build enterprise solutions aggregating data from diverse systems, collaborating with IT and business teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead full-stack solution development, focusing on API integration and data aggregation.
• Design and implement APIs to aggregate data from multiple sources for seamless integration.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable front-end and back-end code using best practices and modern design patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions aligned with system architecture.
• Take ownership of services throughout their lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support).
• Drive innovation and improve engineering processes through code reviews, mentorship, and technical leadership.
• Ensure quality and confidence by writing effective automated unit tests.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience with focus on API development and integration.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, or similar high-level server-side languages.
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript and relevant design patterns (e.g. Angular or React)
• Familiarity with serverless services like AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization technologies, and API security best practices.
• Experience with relational (e.g., Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience leading technical teams and delivering full-stack solutions in data-driven applications.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience building APIs to aggregate and process data from multiple sources.
• Experience in building scalable, high-performance distributed systems.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment strategies, and API monitoring.
• Proven leadership skills including mentoring junior developers and guiding teams through technical challenges.
