Opportunity: We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our team building a new product focused on data warehouse tooling.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with product and customers to understand query performance tuning needs.
- Develop tightly-scoped greenfield products for fast iteration based on feedback.
- Build scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems on the critical path for customers.
- Mentor and grow the team's expertise in data warehouse integrations and scalable systems.
Requirements:
- Startup experience
- Experience on a product in the critical path for data warehouse queries
- Strong partnering skills with product teams
- Proficiency in application performance tooling (tracing, root causing, monitoring)
- Troubleshooting complex production bugs, improving system stability
- Experience architecting and developing fault-tolerant backend solutions on cloud platforms
- Expertise in automated testing and modern CI/CD tools
- Strong asynchronous communication skills
- Experience with databases, data warehouses, and big data processing tools
- Familiarity with large datasets from diverse database backends (SQL)
- Experience with SaaS platforms and custom proxies
- Strong understanding of CDW platforms (Snowflake, DataBricks, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Desire to mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer feedback and product pivots
