Full-Time Senior Software Engineer - Ruby

Design, implement, and test code to enhance existing company solutions for new API, batch, and data products.

Responsibilities include: building new products, supporting automation, tooling, and tests.

Environment: Systems running on the latest Ruby, Rails, and Elixir.

• Private Git/GitHub repository
• Jira for ticket tracking/scrum sprints
• GitHub for code reviews

Development Environment:

• 1:1 test coverage for most codebase, 2:1 for critical areas
• Mac laptops provided
• Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment to AWS
• Agile teams comprised of Software Developers and Software Test Engineers

Reporting to: Sr. Software Development Manager

Experience:

• Experienced full-stack web developer, capable of building complete data-backed products
• Strong MVC (Model-View-Controller) development experience with Ruby on Rails or equivalent
• Able to collaborate with business and technical SMEs to propose technical solutions
• Collaborative with project managers and stakeholders to ensure project success
• Involved in all stages of the development lifecycle: initial analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and support
• Experience with TDD (Test-Driven Development) or commitment to full test coverage using modern methods
