Full-Time Senior Specification Writer

AECOM is seeking a Senior Specification Writer.

This candidate will help AECOM provide peer-recognized design work while delivering on our promise to deliver a better world.

The Senior Specification Writer will utilize knowledge of construction products, materials, and methods to write specifications for a variety of complex projects and building types which may include commercial office, education, healthcare, science and technology, government, and other building types.

Responsibilities include:

• Leads the specifications writing and management for multiple projects
• Works to identify LEED, and other sustainability measurement methods
• Works as a collaborative team member and assists staff in the preparation of contract documents
• Uses multi-disciplinary knowledge of architecture to interact with teams
• Reviews drawings and other project information to write and edit project specifications
• Translates project needs into detailed specifications
• Maintains awareness of industry reference standards and resources
• Proposes continual development and improvement of master specifications
• Contributes to regional initiatives related to standards, training, and mentorship
