About the Role You'll be a key partner for Product, focusing on a core product as an owner. You'll ensure production system availability, performance, and scalability, using tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Argo.
What You'll Do
- Ensure system availability, performance, and scalability.
- Deploy, configure, automate, and manage cloud-based infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve system bottlenecks, optimizing for performance and cost.
- Design and manage deployment pipelines.
- Design and maintain monitoring and observability systems (Datadog, Sentry).
- Define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
- Implement automated solutions for operational tasks.
- Build tools for system provisioning, monitoring, deployment, and scaling.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve application reliability.
What We Need
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of networking and security for deployments
- Strong knowledge of Relational Databases (PostgreSQL) and optimization
- Understanding of authentication and authorization principles
- Experience with production system troubleshooting and optimization
- Expertise with Kubernetes (architecting and managing deployments)
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
