Full-Time Senior SRE - West

Nexthink is seeking a passionate Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain a high-performance cloud platform, focusing on US Public Sector (FedRAMP Moderate) operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Implement modern cloud-native SRE processes for Nexthink's multi-tenant, microservices-based cloud platform.
2. Integrate reliability and security into systems, meeting federal security standards (FedRAMP).
3. Oversee cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and management (scalability and security).
4. Drive automation of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
5. Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
6. Lead performance tuning and optimization efforts.
7. Ensure FedRAMP compliance by implementing security controls and best practices.
8. Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
9. Lead incident management and root cause analysis.
10. Develop strategies to improve incident response and minimize downtime.
11. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate reliability and security into the SDLC.
12. Communicate effectively with stakeholders about system performance, reliability, and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of SRE, DevOps, or related experience.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, Go).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• In-depth knowledge of FedRAMP requirements and best practices.
• Experience with security tools and practices (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to collaborate with teams in different time zones.
