Full-Time Senior Staff Software Engineer-Cloud Native Java

Experian is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Software Engineer to work in an agile environment, developing and delivering direct-to-customer products on a cloud-native platform using Java and the Spring Framework.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Software Development, you'll participate in projects utilizing cutting-edge technologies within a senior engineering team.

You will help design and implement product features, requiring excellent coding skills. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing core functionality and processing for a new enterprise-level data platform built with Java and leading open-source technologies.
• Collaborating as a primary team member to build event-driven services delivering secure, efficient solutions.
• Building highly available and scalable data streaming applications on an AWS platform.
• Maintaining regulatory compliance and information security standards.
• Providing accurate, complete, and current documentation.
• Participating in full Agile cycle engagements (meetings, iterative development, estimations, code reviews, and design sessions).
• Contributing to team architecture, engineering, and product discussions.
• Collaborating with the service quality engineering team to ensure thoroughly tested code.
• Owning deliverables from design through production operationalization.
• Demonstrating flexibility to work across multiple teams based on priorities.

Experience Requirements:

• 10+ years of software development experience with secure coding practices.
• Experience building and testing applications using Java and Spring Framework.
• Expertise in server-side Java applications, mainstream frameworks, libraries, and tools.
• AWS cloud technology experience (Fargate, EC2, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, Lambda, API Gateway, Airflow).
• Experience with Spring Reactive libraries (WebFlux, Project Reactor) and Spring Web.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL data access (PostgreSQL, MongoDB or AWS DocumentDB).
• Experience building and supporting commercial systems managing data and transactions.
