We are seeking a passionate Senior Technical Content Engineer to educate Pulumi's community on infrastructure as code best practices and maximizing the Pulumi platform for modern cloud infrastructure success.
This role involves creating high-quality developer documentation to empower Pulumi users. You'll focus on improving customer productivity, reducing friction, and boosting community satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Authoring, managing, and updating comprehensive documentation (guides, tutorials, how-tos, reference docs).
- Writing blog posts/whitepapers on infrastructure as code architecture, concepts, and patterns.
- Developing technical curriculum and content (tutorials, workshops) for various skill levels.
- Maintaining consistency in Pulumi's style guide across all documentation.
- Conducting peer reviews and offering feedback to ensure high-quality content.
- Engaging with the community to address user needs.
- Defining, documenting, and sharing infrastructure as code best practices.
- Creating reusable Pulumi components for the platform engineering community.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years as a software/DevOps engineer, with 1+ year of developer documentation experience.
- Demonstrated technical writing expertise, including developer documentation creation, enhancing readability, communicating complex concepts, and storytelling.
- Strong empathy for developers (beginners to experts), understanding their documentation needs and learning preferences.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, interpersonal, editorial) skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or C#.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes), Docker.
