AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Technical Lead for a growing Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) Practice to manage projects, provide technical direction, and serve as a technical expert.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Project management and technical leadership on key projects.
- Developing new clients and supporting existing relationships.
- Attending client meetings and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
- Providing technical leadership in CCR ash basin closure, landfill design, solid waste management, groundwater, and regulatory projects.
- Preparing qualifications, technical approaches, and selling messages for proposals and interviews.
- Serving as a senior consultant to set strategic project direction.
- Participating in industry organizations.
- Recruiting new talent.
- Participating in the strategic growth of the CCR market, including design, permitting, construction, operation, closure, and site restoration.
- Developing, presenting, and executing winning client strategies.
- Providing input to technical, management, and business plans.
- Supporting contract procurement.
- Mentoring and coaching team members.
- Local and national travel (up to 20%).
Qualifications:
- BA/BS + 8 years of experience or equivalent.
- US Citizen/Resident.
- B.S. in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Environmental), Geology, or Hydrogeology preferred.
- Master's degree in related engineering disciplines preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in engineering, geology, or hydrogeology.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CCR-related projects.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in Civil Design, CCR, Environmental Infrastructure, or Geotechnical Engineering projects.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in an engineering consulting organization or power company.
- Knowledge of the power market and clientele.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated business development experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading proposal efforts and account management.
- Availability to travel within the US.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting and developing talent.
