The Opportunity The Flock engineering organization needs a Technical Project Manager to drive successful delivery of software products, bridging gaps between embedded, cloud, mobile, and quality teams. This role will focus on cross-functional alignment (especially cloud, mobile, or integration engineering) and facilitating Agile/Scrum practices. The position is also responsible for improving Flock’s process and tools for faster delivery, even with growing product portfolios and engineering teams.
The Skillset
- Experience partnering with engineers to ensure functional teams have detailed plans for timely device deliverables.
- Develop plans aligned with key stakeholders (product management, operations, leadership) to ensure dependencies are clear and project goals are defined.
- Identify and quickly mitigate gaps or risks.
- Foster a project environment focused on communication, facilitating team meetings, prioritizing tasks, documenting assumptions/decisions, and ensuring alignment.
- Technical background for navigating the engineering environment.
- Strong experience with project management software (Atlassian portfolio, Jira).
- Proven experience on development teams shipping consumer software, preferably with IoT electronic devices utilizing Android.
- Proven experience with Agile development and the Scrum process (Scrum master certification preferred).

The First 30 Days: Meet stakeholders, learn about device platforms, navigate Flock tools and processes, understand quarter goals and project deliverables, and take ownership of projects.
The First 60 Days: Execute project plans, hold regular meetings, close weekly deliverables, communicate results, strengthen partnerships, and ensure project calibration.
90 Days & Beyond: Continue successful execution, work closely with product management and engineering, identify business needs, translate them to project initiatives, evaluate successes/improvements, and plan for next quarter goals.

Salary & Equity Starting salary between $140,000 and $170,000 plus Flock Safety stock options. Base salary depends on experience, education, and market indicators.
