Your Role as a Site Reliability Engineer: Our Cloud Operations team seeks a Site Reliability Engineer passionate about problem-solving, automating, and maintaining Appspace’s Cloud Platform to support the needs of our Engineering and Customer Care teams.
Responsibilities:
- Automating maintenance tasks for the Cloud Platform (Python, shell scripting)
- Deploying new features/releases in Kubernetes via Helm (Kubernetes, Helm)
- Troubleshooting performance issues/errors (log analysis)
- Actioning request tickets
- Monitoring application and infrastructure performance (proactive issue resolution)
- Leading/participating in incident management
- Configuring, monitoring, researching, and evaluating workload performances on Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure
- Collaborating with Development and Quality Assurance teams
- Documenting processes and procedures
Requirements:
- Strong background in containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Linux, Python coding, and Windows Server OS/macOS
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (highly desired, or comparable AWS/Azure experience)
- Solid troubleshooting experience
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to different cultures
- Experience with MySQL & MongoDB (preferred)
- Experience with message brokering systems (e.g., RabbitMQ) (preferred)
- Flexibility to attend off-hour meetings
- Open to quarterly travel (up to 5%)
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with CI/CD, Build pipeline tools
- Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git, Bamboo, Octopus)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms (e.g., Stackdriver)
- Experience with HashiCorp Terraform
- Experience with IIS
