Daxko's Site Reliability Engineer role is for motivated engineers who want to solve problems at the root cause sustainably. You'll be part of the TechOps team, supporting foundational tools for product teams.
We prioritize a simple, reliable, consistent, and fast delivery pipeline. Success in this role depends on a passion for automation, scalable systems, new technologies, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Apply cloud (AWS, VMware) computing skills for upgrades and fixes.
- Design, develop, and implement software integrations based on user feedback.
- Troubleshoot production issues, coordinating with development for streamlined deployment.
- Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
- Collaborate on improving engineering tools, systems, and data security.
- Work with load balancers, firewalls, etc.
- Conduct system tests (security, business continuity, performance, availability).
- Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.
- Monitor system activity 24/7 (on-call rotation).
- Execute and maintain disaster recovery plan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years' DevOps/SRE experience.
- Expertise in software development methodologies.
- Working knowledge of DevOps tools like Git and GitLab.
- Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Chef, Ansible).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
- Strong command of software automation production systems (Jenkins, Selenium).
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Proficiency in AWS and/or VMware technologies.
- Understanding of internet technologies (DNS, SNMP, HTTP, TCP/IP, CDNs).
- Experience with monitoring technologies (e.g., Logicmonitor, Instana).
- Experience working with issue tracking systems (Jira).
- Experience with multiple scripting languages (Perl, Python, Java, Bash).
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Working knowledge of database systems (Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Salary: $82,000 - $144,000 per year.
