Job Details
Objectives: Transform and design infrastructure for cloud in a hybrid environment. Build and maintain tooling to accelerate deployment. Monitor production environment for availability and system health. Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications. Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market. Measure and optimize system performance, anticipating customer needs and innovating for continual improvement. Provide operational support and engineering for large-scale applications.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and migrate on-premises applications to Google Cloud.
- Gather and analyze metrics (operating systems, applications, PaaS like Google Cloud SQL) for performance tuning and fault finding.
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
- Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.
- Balance feature development speed and reliability with service-level objectives.
- Assist local Ops, Administrators, and Networking teams.
- Develop simple applications for process automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent/proven experience) in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Proficient in structured and object-oriented programming languages (Python, Go, Java, C/C++, Ruby, JavaScript).
- Experience with distributed storage (Google Cloud Storage) and dynamic resource management frameworks (Kubernetes).
- Proactive problem-solving skills, identifying performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Deep knowledge of Google Cloud (GCP) and its services (IAM, VPC networking, Cloud Run, etc.).
- Experience using Terraform for infrastructure creation, maintenance, and testing.
- Advanced English (C1 or better).
- French (B2 or better) is a plus.
