Objectives: Transform and design Infrastructure for the Cloud in a hybrid environment. Build and maintain tooling to accelerate deployment. Monitor production environment for availability and system health. Develop software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications. Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of software solutions. Measure and optimize system performance, pushing capabilities, anticipating customer needs, and innovating for continual improvement. Provide primary operational support for large-scale distributed software applications.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and migrate on-premises applications to Google Cloud.
- Gather and analyze metrics from all systems (OS, applications, PaaS like Google Cloud SQL) for performance tuning and fault finding.
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
- Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.
- Balance feature development speed and reliability with service-level objectives.
- Assist local Ops, Administrators, and Networking teams.
- Develop simple applications for process automation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
- Programming experience in high-level languages (Python, Go, Java, C/C++, Ruby, JavaScript).
- Experience with distributed storage technologies (e.g., Google Cloud Storage) and dynamic resource management frameworks (especially Kubernetes).
- Proactive problem-solving and identification of performance bottlenecks.
- Deep knowledge of Google Cloud (GCP) services (IAM, VPC networking, Cloud Run, etc.).
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure creation, maintenance, and testing.
- Advanced English speaking ability (C1 or better).
- French language ability (B2 or better) is a plus.
