Full-Time Site Reliability Engineer

Mission: Making Africa the first cashless continent. We're building financial services that work, offering no account fees, instant availability, and acceptance everywhere.

Role: As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and performant. You'll design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure for millions of transactions daily across multiple countries.

1. Improve system observability through metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
2. Optimize performance of backend services and databases.
3. Automate cloud and datacenter operations.
4. Collaborate with product teams to enhance service reliability.
5. Improve on-call incident response processes.
6. Champion security and compliance in infrastructure.
7. Scale the ledger for 10x transaction volume.
8. Ensure 99.99% uptime for payment processing, despite infrastructure challenges.
9. Maintain stable costs while scaling.
10. Detect and block fraud in real-time.
11. Securely store, transfer, and encrypt sensitive financial data.
12. Enable instant money transfers.

Remote Work: Work remotely with reliable internet access (UTC -5 to +3).

Requirements:

• 4+ years SRE/DevOps experience.
• Strong networking, distributed systems, and database understanding.
• Track record of successful observability, CI/CD implementation.
• Strong cloud platform (GCP preferred) expertise.
• Kubernetes, Terraform proficiency.
• Backend language (Python preferred) ability.
• Complex system debugging/optimization skills.
• Excellent communication/collaboration skills.
• Passion for bringing financial services to underserved markets.

Bonus Points: High-volume transaction system support, familiarity with tech stack (Postgres, Redis, GraphQL), security/compliance knowledge for financial services.
