Full-Time Site Reliability Engineer II

The Opportunity: We, at Flywire, are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer II to join our team. You'll help drive reliability, automation, and performance within our cloud-based infrastructure.

SRE Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain core infrastructure pieces, focusing on availability, latency, performance, and capacity.
• Understand Infrastructure as Code and software; write testable and secure code.
• Dive into scalability and performance to detect and solve issues.
• Become embedded within an Engineering team to help them navigate production excellence and best practices.
• Engage and collaborate with other disciplines in design, deployment, operation, and optimization of services.
• Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack, and practice incident response and blameless postmortems.
• Participate in on-call shifts with other disciplines to respond to incidents.

Skills & Experience:

• 1-5 years of experience in SRE.
• Comfortable with generalizing as a specialist in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with the container ecosystem, cloud infrastructure, build systems, and CI/CD tools.
• Ownership of complex system challenges; uncover improvement opportunities.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and empathy skills.
